Mir Jafar, the commander-in-chief of Siraj-Ud-Daulah, was not dismissed, even though conspiracy by him against the Nawab was proved. The troop led by Mir Jafar and others who had already entered into a conspiracy with the English did not join the battle. Jagat Seth who was a banker of the Nawab did not support him during the war.
